God Is Faithful

We worship the Father of lights in whom there is no shadow of turning. His words do not return to Him empty-handed, they do the work He sends them to do, they complete the assignment given them. What He calls a thing it becomes, He is not a man that He should lie. He is holy. For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself that He would bless him, come what may Abraham was blessed. Nothing and no one can deter God from fulfilling His promise. Nothing and no one can take away our salvation, because there is nothing greater than the blood of Jesus.

Our faithlessness can never put God off. If anything it results in our own suffering. It delays and robs us, and affects our relationship with God. However it cannot undo the power of the finished work of the cross. It cannot deter God’s love for us, His love and mercy will stand the test of time.

This awesome characteristic of our God is another reason why we worship, because if He could abandon us we would be doomed. There would be no hope for us, but praise be to God Whose faithfulness knows no bounds. We are saved, we are headed and delivered, we have a future and a hope because His promises are in Him yes and amen.
