God Does Not Fail

God Does Not Fail

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross – Colossians 2:15.

Does the sight of Jesus’ lifeless body hanging on the cross look like a victory to you? It looked like defeat, with the devil in on it according to John 13: 27 ‘As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.’ It looked like a well laid out plan of satan to defeat God, but did he really? We all know that he didn’t, to even say satan was outsmarted by God would insinuate that at some point satan was at God’s level and therefore had to be outdone. Satan never knew what was coming to him, his cunning nature fit perfectly into God’s plan for the redemption and salvation of mankind. God long predestined that those who believed in Him and received His Son Jesus would be saved. He long determined that He would give His children power, dominion and authourity in life. We are sons and daughters of God the Creator of all things, His will is sovereign and He works all things in conformity to His will meaning come what may, His children will be victorious in all things, always!

So are we learning anything from the death of Jesus on the cross and His preceding suffering? I am learning that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s ways higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts. Your situation can look worse for wear, but as long as you are a child of God you can rejoice in the face of your trials. If God is in it, it is going to turn out for your good. The devil will never get a chance to glory over anything because God is sovereign, He has decided that we are going to have life, and that we have it abundantly. If our journey with our Father sees us passing through the valley, or if we find ourselves in hospitals, jail houses or just down and out, we know, and ought to know that that state is not the end for us. Though we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we won’t fear because we know that God is with us. None of life’s predicaments can take our God by surprise, He is on top of every situation and has since time began ensured that all things work together for good to those who love Him, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Let us therefore walk by faith and not be swayed by what we see. It should never matter what things look like, all we should care to know is that God is for us and nothing and no one can prevail against us. In Christ there is no failure, there is no poverty, there is no weakness, there is no complex, there is no defeat, there is no destruction. Let us only study His Word that we may be renewed in the spirit of our mind so we can reason properly. That His Word may determine how we see things, that we may judge what we see and experience properly. By the same cross on which Jesus died, God wrought victory; I don’t care what people say and for what reasons they say what they say, God does not fail!
