Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ – Ephesians 4:13.
What makes Passover Passover? It’s the blood of the Lamb. The blood of the lamb that the angel smeared on the doorposts of the Israelites prevented the angel of death coming upon them. It covered them with their insufficiencies and saved them from imminent death. But the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ our Saviour, does not just cover, it cleans us through, wiping away the slate of our wrongdoing and makes us new. He has made us new for Himself, having delivered us from wasteful living that was leading to damnation and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love according to His will and divine purpose. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it clear, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
We are saved for God’s sake to become like Jesus because wholeness is in Him, He is the way, the truth, and the life. Meaning there is no life for a Christian apart from Christ. We have to pause and think before taking any action and ask, ‘What would Jesus do?’. Because the aim is Christ-likeness. It is the Kingdom of the Son of His love, it is the bedrock of creation and everything apart from it is a lie concocted by satan to deceive and lead astray many.
Every gift that God has given is useful for the purpose of bringing many to the knowledge of the Son of God. The unity of the faith to the saints is Christ-likeness. Receive Christ, believe in Him and confess Him. Submit to His Holy Spirit and study His ways. He is our example, copy Him, reference Him. He is the only way to eternity, He is the only way to the Father, and the only way the Father will receive us into eternity is if we are like His Son Jesus, and have His Spirit in us as the seal of approval. Waste no more time, stop trying to find yourself, find Christ!
