But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. – John 14:26
God is faithful to the promises that He has made toward us. Not even one day has he taken back what He has already proclaimed. He says instead in Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God doesn’t change His mind He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is not a son of man that He should repent, so when He has said that He will prosper us, we have to rest assured that it is done and dusted.
Trials and challenges come to test us and our believing. The promise of the Lord doesn’t waver, it is the very fabric that created and holds all things together, even in this present time, Creation’s ebb and flow is in response tot he unfolding and preset Word of God. God doesn’t need to be tested, our faith is the one to be proven. And if we are believing and growing in wisdom we would understand and accept that God has called us according to His sovereign purpose which means truimphant procession, which means if we just agree with God in everything we will inevitable end up in glory as predestined.
God has given us His Holy Spirit that He may remind us of His glorious promise, thereby keeping us steadfast in the hope that does not disappoint that what God has promised He will surely fulfill. So if we give up we lack both understanding and acceptance of the promise. We show that we don’t believe in God’s Word and subsequently ignore the Holy Spirit because He reminds us, His still small voice time and again telling us: ‘hold still, keep calm, the Lord’s time for your situation is coming’, because God remains faithful when we are unfaithful, He cannot deny Himself!
