Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! – Phillipians 4:4 NIV.
We know that as Christians the world does not accept us, the world does not know us because they do not know our Lord. They persecuted and killed our Master and so we cannot expect them to love and embrace us. Our hope and joy should be in Him and not from the world. Our identity is in our Lord and only He can tell us who we are. Christ knew the treatment we would receive and reminded us that we should find comfort in Him and His promises.”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives,” John 14:27. We should not let our hearts be troubled and we should not be afraid because He has overcome the world, so we too have overcome. This is one area of our lives the enemy tries to attack again and again. He comes to steal our joy and to make us question if truly God will deliver on His promises.Apostle Paul once said he has learnt to be content in every situation because his strength and joy are not determined by his outward appearance. Though we may seem to be perishing yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). Our hope and joy is in what is unseen. This hope, and this assurance, is in our DNA as Christians.”We know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure, “1 John 3:2-3 NIV.
