One Body, Different Functions

One Body, Different Functions

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function – Romans 12:4.

Religion has damaged our way of thinking, as Christians, we always want to compete with one another. Who can preach the word or has better anointing than the other, etc.? We are all equal before God, and that is how we should see each other. In our scripture today we can see that we are one with different functions. Each part has a role to play in the body of Christ. As a result, we do not need to have a competitive spirit, this brings division in the body of Christ.

Many have lost hope in Christ because of how we treat each other as Christians. We are an example to unbelievers, how we treat each other speaks volumes to the world out there. We are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14a). In the kingdom of God, there is neither seniority nor minority, but we are all children of God. We are all important in making up the body of Christ. No part of our body has ever said they are more important than the other. They all have a significant role to play, so are we. We need each other in this journey. Our enemy is one, we are not each other’s enemy.

Let us wise up and start treating each other with love. So that unbelievers can start noticing the enemy and believe in God.
