What We Meditate On

What We Meditate On

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do – Joshua 1:8 NLT.

All over the earth people are reading books to encourage themselves. There are all kinds of books for the benefit of prosperity. We as children of God, it is different for us, we have been given more than a motivational book, we have been given a book straight from the mouth of God, a book of books which when followed, we ought to prosper. All that it promises can only be accessed by faith through the Holy Spirit, not by our intellect or abilities. Obedience to the Word plays the most important role in our lives, doing what it says we should do.

You will agree with me on this, the Word has changed a lot of things in our lives that we are noticing daily. You find that you no longer worry like before when you do not have money or when you are going through tough times. You no longer desire the things you used to desire like clubbing, or hanging out with friends talking all sorts of unprofitable things. The Word is there to correct us when we go wrong, it is there to build us, encourage us, and the list is endless,  see 2 Timothy 3:16.

It is hard for me to go a day without the Word, because I know how it has helped me to be where I am today. My health hangs on this very Word. We are spiritual beings and the word of God is spirit, which means our lives are dependent on it. In John 6:63 the word says:”It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”. We can do ourselves a great service by meditating on the word as instructed, not only when we are in need but daily
