When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love, O LORD, supported me – Psalm 94:18.
Throughout my walk in Christianity, I can boldly and confidently say that as a child of God, you are never without help. The love of God really amazes me and times without fail, I have seen God coming through for me whenever I needed Him. Times without number He has proven to be a very understanding God, who knows my weaknesses, but yet does not reject me on account of them. Just like David, at some point in life I have found myself on the verge of falling and could not possibly save myself. What has constantly sustained and kept me through it all however is the love that God has for me. All I have ever had to do is to cry out to Him and He has always come to my rescue.
We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed, (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, GNT). As children of God, we go through a lot but what should settle peace in our hearts and keep us going in all that is the fact that God is always there and willing to help us. We often waver and are shaken because we think that there are certain things that we have to handle on our own, or go through alone but that is just the lie that the devil tell us. The word of God says that He would never let our foot slip. There is nothing you need to go through alone, no battle you need to fight alone and no trial you have to overcome on your own. God is our ever present help in time of need, all we have to do is to voice our need to Him, our need of Him and His love will be there, supporting and upholding us.
