And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha – 2 Kings 6:17 NIV.
We are entering into a season of great expectations for what God has promised. He has promised that there are financial blessings on the horizon. Like to any word from God challenges are bound to come, the word will always be tested. What is required from us is to stand on the word (Galatians 5:1 and Philippians 3:16) because he who promised is faithful.
During the challenges we must pray for spiritual sight so that we may see our breakthroughs. The servant of Elisha did not recognise the victory and only saw the challenge. He required spiritual sight to recognise the breakthrough even though it was always there (he lacked spiritual eyesight). Praise be to God that he had a spiritual leader that could see in the spirit.
Exodus 16:13 shows us that God had already prepared a feast for His children yet they did not recognise it. The man of God had to reveal it to them. What a blessing to be under the leadership of a true man of God, a man that will be your sight when you are blind, that will weep when disaster is upon you (1 Samuel 16:1). Father open our eyes that we may see in the spirit.
