Don’t be afraid, for I am with you – Isaiah 41:10a NLT.
We might be going through tough times at this very moment and may be thinking that God does not see what we are going through but He does and is with us. He says He will never leave nor forsake us (Joshua 1:9b). Oh yes beloved, He means it. When we look at our lives we can see Him in many things. We may not have that car or house which He promised through prophecy yet, but the fact of the matter is that He is with us. He wants us for Himself.
He does not want us to cling to things and make them our god. He knows what little value things have in comparison to His will for us. He knows that these things are temporary and we cannot take them to heaven. There are far weightier matters in the kingdom of God than just having things. When we get these things, it’s not just for us to enjoy. We are given things for the advancement of the Kingdom, first and foremost.
As we have heard in one of the teachings titled “Called To Serve A Vision”, God blesses us because of His vision. He blesses within the context of a vision. Blessings are released because there is a vision. As children of the kingdom of God, we ought to be aware of His presence in the little things that we see manifest in our lives. We need to look at what has changed in our lives since we became serious about serving God. We need to intentionally remain aware that the Lord is with us daily. If He was not with us, we would not be where we are today.
