He Always Makes A Way

He Always Makes A Way

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – Exodus 33:1a.

This piece of Scripture reminds me of God’s faithfulness over my life. How He ushered me to a life I never thought I would have. Whenever He sends a person to do something, He always makes a way for that person to do as He has commanded. If we look at the life of Moses, he was just an ordinary man like me and you. Worse he did not even know how to speak well, but God chose him to lead thousands upon thousands of people out of Egypt into the Promised Land.

Moses knew that God was with Him and He knew the power of God’s presence. As we read in verse 15 of the same chapter Moses says that if His presence does not go with them God should not take them out of the place they are in. He asks God for something that will distinguish them from the rest of the people, His presence.

God declared open doors over us as His children. As God promised Moses that His presence would be with them, so He is with us as we go through these open doors. Nothing and no one can stop what God is doing, or better yet, no one will shut the doors that God has opened [Rev 3:8]. It is time for us to lay hold of God’s promises. That job you have been praying for is now yours, that word that God has spoken over your life is behind those doors that are opened.

God made a covenant with Moses that His presence would be with him. We believers of the new covenant have a far better covenant, which is the finished works of Jesus. It is for us to ask God to give us a spirit of discernment so that we may know the doors that are opened by God, and not by the devil. Our prayer and meditation should be, Lord help us to identify the doors that are opened by you.

He asks God for something that will distinguish them from the rest of the people, His presence
