Going Back To Avalon

Going Back To Avalon

He said to me, “Mortal man, can these bones come back to life?” I replied, “Sovereign LORD, only you can answer that!” Ezekiel 37:3 GNT.

In a graveyard bones signify death that happened many years ago. Even the bereaved have moved on with their lives. Once in a while they may remember them and probably spend minutes to reminisce about the good old days. They have dealt with the fact that the people are long gone.

Some areas in our lives that need breakthroughs have been dry for so long that the only thing left is just bones. We may have given up or lost hope and accepted these bones (or made peace with it). It may seem like life could never exist again. We probably have had tombstone unveilings and have shed enough tears and decided to move on.

Now God is asking, “Can these bones live?” Can your dead situation ever come back to life again? The Israelites had given up and God was reminding them of who He is, reminding them that He is God. What I love about this Scripture is that God tells the man to prophesy life into the dry bones. Meaning the power to resuscitate and restore life is in the man (Genesis 1:26).

God promises to restore and establish you after the resuscitation. He will open your graves and bring you up from them (verse 12). Then you will know that He is God and He will fulfill what He has promised.

Whatever situation in your life that has been dead for so long must now be brought back to life. All you need to do is speak life, watch and be amazed and glorify the God of Israel. With the same spirit of faith we believe therefore we speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). “Son of man, can these bones live?”

Whatever situation in your life that has been dead for so long must now be brought back to life
