Reckon With Who You Are!

Reckon With Who You Are!

You are no longer darkness, but light in my Son. Walk as children of light – Ephesians 5:8.

Every time I read the word of GOD I realize and discover just how amazing life in Christ is meant to be. Christianity is all about the salvation or redemption of man by GOD. Knowing that you are saved or redeemed means that you have come to terms with the fact that the fight has already been won on your behalf, that your self-effort is not required to make up for your past struggles and efforts and that you do not need to earn the grace because it’s already yours. When you begin to understand all this, you will realize what your new identity really is, and can begin to live in the truth of who GOD says you are rather than in the ways you have come to view yourself because of the ups and downs life has brought your way.

One of the things that the devil does well is to steal and deceive us of our identity in GOD. The Word says that we are royal priesthood, joint heirs with Christ, overcomers and every other good thing you can think of in the word of GOD, that is our identity. How many of us though really do live like royal priests or heirs of the greatest Kingdom? We hardly do because we haven’t really realized who we are in GOD and have been deceived into thinking lesser of ourselves. It is important that we always, without fail, read the word of GOD, meditate on it, and absorb the truth of who we are in GOD’s sight. When deception comes, the thoughts of low self-esteem and insecurity crowd our minds, we must learn how to take those thoughts captive and replace them with the truth of who we truly are now that we are in Christ. That is the only way we are going to remain victorious. You are more than what you think you are and until you realize that, you will never live up to your fullest potential.

Knowing that you are saved means you have come to terms with the fact that the fight has already been won on your behalf, your self-effort is not required to make up for your past struggles and efforts
