Don’t Believe The Enemy’s Lie

Don’t Believe The Enemy’s Lie

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11 NIV.

GOD has promised us that He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. This is who GOD is, a good, good Father, a loving Father who wants the best for His children. “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

The enemy will do anything and everything to make us believe otherwise. When we go through times of testing, we ought to fix our eyes on Jesus and draw near to Him, but it’s during this time that the enemy bombards us with lies. This is who the devil is, a liar, the father of lies in whom there is no truth (John 8:44). He will try by all means to get us to shift our focus from the LORD to his lies.

We have been given the weapons of peace and thanksgiving to defeat him and stop him in his tracks. We are told in Philippians 4 verse 6 that we are to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make our requests known to GOD. This is where our victory lies against the lies of the enemy. The choice is ours whether we believe the word or truth of GOD or the lie of the enemy.

When we go through times of testing, we ought to fix our eyes on Jesus and draw near to Him, but it’s during this time that the enemy bombards us with lies
