To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory – Colossians 1:27.
It is either Christ is risen for us or we are following dead religion. Our lives should be playing out in one of two ways, it’s either we live like godless people or as sons of God on the earth. Both these ways of life should be radical at the core. We see this in everyday life, in social media and on tv, but when we look at our own lives, do we see evidence of radical faith?
The hope we have in Christ is a real thing! It is not a dream or a fantasy, what the Word prescribes ought to be believed whole heartedly and persude vigorously. Which leaves no room for uncertainty and confusion. The Lord has made plain to us what our inheritance is in the saints, we should be triumphant over every challenge and trial. It is not an easy task, yes, but neither is it impossible to live a victorious Christian life.
Our hope is in the promise of eternity with our Master, this view renders our current afflictions light and bearable. Christ in us is the hope of victory, he is the hope of escaping eternal damnation, the hope of better promises and rest from all our labour. Doubts must vanish as we are strengthened with might in the inner man by the power of the living Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit with us.
Rise above whatever your current circumstance may be, see your life for what it truly is, a gift from God and an opportunity to experience His divine will as a partaker of the divine nature. Rise above weakness, frustation, anger, discontentment, bitterness, stress, sickness, disappointment and all that jazz. See these afflictions as agents, come to force you to act in faith and press toward the mark of your upward call in Christ. Do all in the hope that you will see Jesus one day, and that He will bid you well done after you have endured all suffering and come up victorious!
