“The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 8:14 TPT
There is a saying that says that “anything that is not growing is dead”. One of the key things in our Christian walk is to grow in godliness, to grow in faith, and become more like Christ in spirit. When we are not growing, we become stagnant and frustrated and are at risk of dying spiritually. We all desire to live victorious and successful lives and it is only the Holy Spirit who can lead us to this life that we desire (Zechariah 4:6). It is key for us to grow and to walk in the Spirit because when we walk in the Spirit, we walk in the power of GOD. This is the secret, not all this universe, and manifestation stuff that the world has created to take the place of GOD.
“So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus.” (2 Peter 1:5-8 MSG). We have a responsibility to grow daily in our faith walk, as we grow, GOD can trust us with more power and more power brings more victory.
We ought to seek after obeying GOD and doing the things that please Him for us to walk in power just as Jesus did (John 8:29). He is our example, and we ought to aim to grow and become like Him. He walked in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, so should we but we have to do our part, we have to mature to the point that we are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit and no longer by the impulses of our flesh. When we do this, we are growing and when we grow, GOD entrusts us with His limitless power.
As we grow, GOD can trust us with more power and more power brings more victory.
