“I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognize that you sent me.” – John 17:21 TPT
After Sunday’s teaching, I googled the meaning of fellowship and it is defined as “a friendly association, especially with people who share one’s interests”. The trinity is one of the heavily debated topics when it comes to Christianity, people don’t understand how GOD can be three-in-one. Unity is hard to comprehend with the natural mind and of course, the devil fights us from getting the true revelation about unity, because of the power that unity carries. That is why we hear things like, “I can pray alone at home, I don’t need to go to prayer meetings.” Or “I don’t need church to have a relationship with GOD.” Can I say it? The devil is shortchanging you.
“It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough! By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12 MSG). If we desire to be wise in this world, we should seek GOD’s wisdom backed by the word of God. We are stronger together, and that’s why wherever you see division, be it, racism, tribalism, xenophobia, strife between believers or spouses, just know that the devil is at work.
We have to live together in unity with each other’s interests at heart. Your fellow believer’s pain should be your pain and their joy should be your joy (1 Corinthians 12:25-26). When this happens and we come together and pray in one accord in the spirit, we become one with GOD and there’s nothing that will be withheld from us (Genesis 11:6). The devil is not only fighting you, but he’s also fighting your union with others, your marriage, your family, fellowship with the saints. Recognize him for who he is and kick him out and you will see GOD heal your relationships (James 5:16). There is GOD’s power in Oneness and Jesus has prayed for us that the Father may make us one just as He and the Father are one.
We are stronger together, and that’s why wherever you see division, be it, racism, tribalism, xenophobia, strife between believers or spouses, just know that the devil is at work.
