Strength Is Found In Waiting

Strength Is Found In Waiting

“Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.” – Isaiah 64:4 NIV

Speaking of the issue of “waiting on God” is never easy because it’s honestly not something many of us want to hear about. When you have been praying and waiting on GOD for something, His perfect timing can often feel like torture, just an empty phrase to console oneself or a statement that people tend to resort to when they have run out of ideas on what else to say to make you feel better. Just because we know GOD has perfect timing, it doesn’t make it easier to wait on Him. We are weak by nature and that is why waiting can be so daunting but it is through the waiting that GOD renews our strength.

However, one thing we have to understand about GOD is that His system and way of doing things are different. In GOD, something might actually be happening while it seems as if nothing is happening at all. This means that GOD might be already at work in us while we see absolutely nothing materializing. I can honestly say that waiting on GOD isn’t for spiritual wimps, but rather it’s for those strong of heart. Obeying a “not yet” response from GOD requires true faith. I often just remind myself that the Lord’s plans for me have been set since before the beginning of time and that it’s not a mistake that things aren’t happening as quickly as I would like them to. Not seeing things happening does not necessarily mean that they will never happen, the one who promised is faithful and just. GOD is pleased when we wait on Him, His Word says that He works on behalf of those who wait for Him. So don’t give up, don’t stop believing. God’s power is limitless and He will surely breakthrough for you.
