“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” – Isaiah 55:8-9
God’s way of doing things requires absolute obedience and submission. Like pawns on a chessboard, we don’t move until we are moved, the One making the moves has a great end in sight, He is playing for the win. Without obedience the perfect will of God is frustrated for our lives, without submission, there’ll be casualties, forfeitures, and fatalities. We may not fully understand what GOD is doing as we seek and follow Him, but if we truly trust Him we will hold on through the most trying of times. We will not change our confession because we have believed that the One who began this good work in us will see it to completion.
There will be troubles, there will be hard times, we will stand for one another praying with everything that we have, for healing, for provision, against losses, for jobs to be saved, for businesses not to shut down, for people who leave us to come back, for undesirable circumstances to change. We may receive exactly what we have prayed for in some of our supplications and in others, we might not get what we have envisioned. However if our trust is steadfast on the LORD, we would count none as losses, because God’s ways are unsearchable but it will end in exceeding joy. We may feel the pinch, but remember the natural pain is working out a supernatural glory for us. Let us, therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, trusting Him with all our hearts and not leaning on our own understanding!
