“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” – John 1:1-3 NKJV
When GOD wants to do something, He sends His Word. This Word carries tremendous power, the tremendous power of God and when this same Word lives on the inside of us, this power becomes our life and our power. GOD does nothing without His Word, when He wants to heal, deliver or bless, He sends His Word (Psalms 107:20). When GOD wanted to redeem mankind He sent His Word and His Word became flesh (John 1:14). When GOD wants to speak to us, He speaks to us through His Word (Hebrews 1:2). So we do ourselves a great disservice when we take the word of God for granted.
When the word of God abides in us and we in Him, Nothing is impossible for us, and without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). This alone is telling as to why many Christians, the world over, are living defeated lives, lack of the Word. We don’t need another man of God, another church, anointed water, or anointing oil. We need the word of God, for us to abide in the word of God and the word of God to abide in us. The power we are looking for to change our lives is found in the word of God (Hebrews 4:12a).
GOD has also assured us that His Word will never fail! Even when things come our way and look contrary to what the word of God for our lives says. Remember that when Jesus died on the cross, it looked like it was over, but 3 days later, He rose again in victory. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”(Isaiah 55:11). Our victory is in the Word, the living Word in our hearts! The Word GOD has sent to accomplish that which He pleases.
The power we are looking for to change our lives is found in the word of God
