The Wisdom Of Faith

The Wisdom Of Faith

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” – John 6:63

Proverbs 4:5a says “Get wisdom! Get understanding!”, this means our astute sense of reasoning and common sense is not going to suffice in the earth realm. Because sometimes reasoning things out makes it all seem so simple and yet it is not, case in point, satan made disobeying GOD seem so simple to Eve, and look where that got us! Till today scientists are grappling with the concept of creation because of reason and sense (and some of their conclusions make less sense than if they just believe the Word). The Bible says don’t be content with your current way of thinking, go after understanding, seek out wisdom. If you use your reasoning without the Word and the Spirit you will always hit dead ends and reap frustration, always.

Creation is complex, everything was created by the Word, everything was spoken into being, this is too high to reason out. Our great cloud of witnesses are great men and women of whom the Bible says: “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.”
Hebrews 11:30‭-‬38

As born again children of God we should check the well from which we draw wisdom, sure faith sometimes doesn’t make sense, but that’s how we know we have defaulted to fleshy wisdom, the wisdom that comes from GOD is of faith, it goes against the grain, it defies gravity and conquers all!

As born again children of God we should check the well from which we draw wisdom
