“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.” – Proverbs 3:5-7 TPT
The world that we live in has taught us that we are to work hard and chase after things, a promotion, a better car, a bigger house. What the world doesn’t tell us, is that the “joy” of these achievements is short-lived because there’s always more to pursue or the next level of pursuit. King Solomon calls it vanity of vanities in the book of Ecclesiastes, a chasing after the wind. The significance of us being born again is that we are made new, we ought to do things and see things differently from the way the world had taught us.
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” Romans 12:2 TPT. GOD wants us to change the way that we think, for our minds to be transformed, for us to walk in heavenly wisdom. Does GOD want us to be wealthy and live beautiful and satisfying lives? YES! Absolutely! But we have to acquaint ourselves with how GOD and the Kingdom operate.
“The things of GOD are given by grace, none of us can work for the things of GOD” – Prophet Kya. We have a part to play and our part is for us to seek after GOD and the kingdom of God. The more we do this, the more we grow and the more GOD is able to entrust us with His power. It is this very power that makes everything possible for us (Deuteronomy 8:18). GOD also reassures us in Jeremiah 29:13 that when we come looking for Him, we will find Him when we are serious about finding Him and want it more than anything else, He will make sure that we won’t be disappointed. “Wisdom is the most valuable commodity—so buy it! Revelation-knowledge is what you need—so invest in it!” Proverbs 4:7 TPT. Wisdom comes when we adore Him with undivided devotion. GOD is inviting us to another realm of life, what are we waiting for?
Does GOD want us to be wealthy and live beautiful and satisfying lives? YES! Absolutely! But we have to acquaint ourselves with how GOD and the Kingdom operate.
