Who Drives You?

Who Drives You?

Wednesday, 13 October 2021

“Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.” – Mark 1:11-12 NKJV

“For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.” – Luke 8:29 NKJV

In the above Scriptures, both Jesus and the demon-possessed man were driven into the wilderness by a Spirit/spirit. This speaks of two kinds of people that we have on Earth – one who is a God-pleaser and another that is bound or under the oppression of the devil. Both have a Master/master that drives them, one is driven into righteousness, peace, and joy (Romans 14:17b), and the other one is driven into destruction and death (John 10:10a). As to who drives us, the choice is ours to make (Deuteronomy 30:15,19).

“Don’t you realize that grace frees you to choose your own master? But choose carefully, for you surrender yourself to become a servant—bound to the one you choose to obey. If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to love and obey GOD, he will lead you into perfect righteousness.” Romans 6:16 TPT. We live in an age where almost everyone you meet is a Christian, well, until it becomes biblical. The Word of God is clear, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Romans 8:14 NKJV), and surely the opposite is true, if we are not led by the Spirit of God, we are not the sons of God.

There are no grey areas in the spirit. It’s either you are in the Kingdom or not, there’s no in-between and this determination will tell you who drives you and who drives your life. This will also determine the quality of the life that you live here on Earth, so this decision is not to be taken lightly. We cannot say GOD is in control of our lives when we are still in the driver’s seat. Let us go back to GOD and allow Him to increase in our lives as we decrease (John 3:30). Choose today who you want to drive your life, the choice is yours to make, it is you who chooses your Driver/driver. Choose wisely, your life depends on it.

We cannot say GOD is in control of our lives when we are still in the driver’s seat.
