“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
Galatians 5:25 NKJV
“for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’”
Acts 17:28 NKJV
The word of God says that when the LORD created us He also breathed His Spirit into us, but somewhere along the way we got lost in the world. We found ourselves being led more and more by our flesh and disconnected from the Spirit of the Lord who is meant to be within us. Thank GOD that when we are born again, something beyond divine happens. That glorious Holy Spirit comes upon us, and restores us back to who GOD intended us to be – His sons and daughters, and His perfect creation, made in His image and likeness.
When people think of Christianity or being born again, they tend to think of all the laws and rules which they must now live by, which make them feel bound and oppressed. How they must now be these perfect and flawless beings who must do whatever it takes in their strength to not burn in Hell for their mistakes. The very idea that we are born again into bondage is in itself an absurd deception of the enemy. “For the Spirit that GOD has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid” – Romans 8:15 GNT. To be born again is to be free, free from the bondage and condemnation that Satan throws at us as long as we are on this Earth.
“Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty” – 2 Corinthians 3:17. For someone who can be slightly lazy at doing this life thing, I have often found that the greatest seasons of my life are those where I have allowed myself to be fully led by the Holy Spirit. Where I have surrendered completely to the plans of GOD and have abandoned my own understanding and will. It is in these moments that I experience true peace and joy in its purest form. Where the word of God comes alive, His promises are true and real, and best of all, where fear no longer exists, because the will of God cannot take us where His grace will not sustain us.
The Holy Spirit is the kindest, sweetest, and most beautiful person anyone who so desires can ever meet. Allowing Him to completely take over you is an experience that cannot be matched by anything else on this Earth. Without the Holy Spirit, we are just existing, we have no life. We can engage in many things that we think matter but when we are alone in our quiet moments, that is when we experience the emptiness that reminds us that when we are apart from the Holy Spirit we are hopeless.
Allowing Him to completely take over you is an experience that cannot be matched by anything else on this Earth. Without the Holy Spirit, we are just existing, we have no life
