WALK in the Spirit

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” – John 6:63 NKJV

The Christian walk is spiritual, many of us struggle because we are married to our five senses.  We are either in the spirit or in the flesh, there is no in-between. “And Peter answered Him and said, “LORD, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “LORD, save me!”” Matthew 14:28-30 NKJV. Peter, as long as he was in the spirit, walked on water and defied the laws of nature. The moment he practiced his natural senses, “when he SAW”, he began to sink.

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” Galatians 5:16-17 NKJV. Many of us today are pregnant with God’s promises, but the fulfillment of those promises requires us to WALK in the spirit, to walk in the Word that the LORD has given to us. We have become despondent and discouraged because we have practiced our natural senses and have SEEN contrary to God’s Word.

In this season of revival, let us go back to GOD, let us revisit His promises and the Word that He has spoken to us, let us cry out to the LORD. Our life, our victory, our blessings are in WALKING in the spirit, walking in the flesh using our five senses, will not profit us.

Many of us today are pregnant with God’s promises, but the fulfillment of those promises requires us to WALK in the spirit, to walk in the Word that the LORD has given to us.
