“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” – Hebrews 5:14

Brethren, now are we the sons of God, we are not experiencing our Christianity as non-believers but as new creatures. There’s a Kingdom way of responding to life’s challenges, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2. We are of GOD and have overcome the challenges because Christ has already overcome for us. GOD is not allowing us to suffer through the low points in life because He wants to embarrass us, no! We are experiencing these challenges as overcomers, working out our salvation from a point of victory, we are being granted the opportunity to exercise our senses to put the Word to work and prove it. When we find ourselves feeling defeated in our circumstances, it is because the flesh is loud in those moments (Matthew 26:41) and the only way to silence the flesh and get proper perspective is to get in the Word.

God’s standard doesn’t drop because we are having a difficult time. The Lord Jesus requires fruitfulness, regardless of what I am going through. From His end He is not looking at a human being struggling, He is looking at a victor, an overcomer, a son to whom He has given all things that pertain to life and godliness, having their moment in the battlefield. “Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response, Jesus said to it, ‘Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.’ And His disciples heard it.” Mark 11:12-14, what a sobering Scripture to consider. The LORD wants us faithful and fruitful all the time. He doesn’t expect us to shudder in the midst of our circumstances, but that we should get understanding in the midst of it, be steadfast, faithful, and keep going. Yes, the path of righteousness is not child’s play, it gets real very fast, but remember you are not an ordinary person having a terrestrial experience, you are a child of God establishing the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth.

We are experiencing these challenges as overcomers, working out our salvation from a point of victory, we are being granted the opportunity to exercise our senses to put the Word to work and prove it.
