Are You The Weapon Formed Against Yourself?

Are You The Weapon Formed Against Yourself?

“These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.” – Matthew 15:8 NIV

“But from there you will seek the LORD your GOD, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” – Deuteronomy 4:29 NKJV

One of the things that fascinate me about human beings, is how we are always looking for ways to cheat the system. We don’t like things that take time and, even less, those that require sacrifice. This is one of the reasons why some people find themselves committing crimes for a quick win, or even dabbling in the occult to produce fast results. However, all these solutions come at an incredibly high cost which, more often than not, is never worth it. Mind you, many Churches are filled with Christians who hop from one church to the next, looking for microwave blessings. They believe that if they can put in a few hours of prayer, fasting, and an offering, then GOD will be pleased, but “Do not be deceived, GOD is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7 NKJV.

We tend to be the ones standing in our own way, and what most people don’t understand, is that GOD does not ask things of us for Himself. He is all-sufficient, and nothing we can or cannot do can ever be enough to change that about Him. So when He says we must seek Him, it is 100% for our benefit and the benefit of society at large. One of the things that are undeniable about those who walk with GOD, is the power and glory which they possess. It is a physical Holy Spirit presence that cannot be bought or conjured up, and it turns ordinary men into living signs, miracles, and wonders. To an extent that even those who do not know GOD will testify that “there is something about this person”. It is impossible to seek GOD with a pure heart, without giving up, and not encounter Him. I say this with absolute confidence because it is GOD’s promise to man in Deuteronomy 4:29.

As Believers, we do ourselves and those we have been called to, a great injustice when we choose to be ignorant of the ways of GOD; When we walk around as the world does, and do not make time and effort to seek HIM. That said, “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father!” John 14:12 TPT. Much of what we are looking for in this world is found in the seeking of GOD for who He is. That is how we begin to transform into His image and likeness and to be the extensions of Christ on this earth, in deeds and in our callings.

It is impossible to seek GOD with a pure heart, without giving up, and not encounter Him
