Time Is Not The Issue

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:1 NKJV

“Just like a woman giving birth experiences intense labor pains in delivering her baby, yet after the child is born she quickly forgets what she went through because of the overwhelming joy of knowing that a new baby has been born into the world.” – John 16:21 TPT

When that time of breakthrough comes, what one went through becomes nothing but a distant hazy memory. To a point where even the length of time spent suffering ceases to matter because the focus is now on this new glorious season the person has entered into, and the joy being experienced supersedes every other pain once known. This is what a true encounter with Christ brings.

The light that the LORD brings dispels all darkness in our lives. The areas that once brought sadness and confusion suddenly become clearer and the heaviness we carried for years is suddenly lifted.  How, then, can we not want to make it our daily mission to seek GOD with all our hearts and to yearn deeply for His presence which changes everything? It’s easy to look at our situations and judge them. To feel that maybe they are too deep or too complex and that we have already been in them for too long. “Behold, I am the LORD, the GOD of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV.

I would like to believe that a true encounter transforms us from the inside and manifests its power externally. This means that we become new people whose minds are no longer set in the trappings of our past, and which then makes it difficult for us to return back to the former and to remain there. Mistakes happen, yes, but to settle back into the old and senseless lifestyle that GOD rescued us from would not make sense, and can only mean that we never truly encountered Him in the first place. “Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his foolishness.” Proverbs 26:11 AMP.

Seeking Jesus daily is what maintains the change that is brought about by His presence. When we submit and commit ourselves to Him we ensure that His hand not only touches all areas of our lives but remains on us. This life is hard enough on its own. And to do it without GOD and in our former skins is as good as seeing the light and our long-awaited solution, but choosing to remain in the dark and trapped in our infirmities. We should never be satisfied with where we are in our walk. There is so much more and so much deeper to go.

A true encounter transforms us from the inside and manifests its power externally
