“The Son is the radiance and only expression of the glory of [our awesome] GOD [reflecting GOD’s Shekinah glory, the Light-being, the brilliant light of the divine], and the exact representation and perfect imprint of His [Father’s] essence, and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal]” – Hebrews 1:3a AMP
There was a time in our ministry when testimonies were on steroids, especially Pastor Fancy’s testimonies. Whenever she testified, the whole church would be charged and we were all left in awe. If you didn’t believe GOD could come through for you, after listening to her you felt like you could overcome everything. She was living proof that GOD doesn’t forget His children, and is always at hand to deliver them from any peril. Even the scientist in me couldn’t explain or deny the power of her testimonies. I always became revived after such testimonies because if GOD could do it for her then He can also do it for me.
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” Revelations 12:11a NIV. The power of our testimony is something that most of us take for granted. The enemy has mastered the art of making us believe that our situation is unique, and that no one else understands what we are currently going through. So it’s when we realize that others have gone through similar challenges and have overcome, that we then have hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Another area that the enemy has infiltrated is in making believers not understand the importance and power of the Word. In Hebrews 1:3a, you can see that Christ upholds, maintains, and propels ALL THINGS through His Word. EVERY SINGLE THING is controlled by GOD’s Word. If I need anything from GOD, the answer is hidden in the Word. If I need to maintain my deliverance, the answer is in the Word. When satan tempts me and I’m vulnerable to his devices, my breakthrough and victory will come from GOD’s Word. Jesus Christ defeated satan in the wilderness through the Word. Every single thing He said to satan was in the Word. He didn’t try to reinvent the wheel but stuck to what works, the only thing that completely annihilates satan, the Word. If I’m continuously failing in areas of my life I must re-examine my proximity to the Word of GOD. My breakthroughs are directly proportional to my proximity to the Word of GOD.
“The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone” John 1:4 NLT. In the very beginning, there was the Word. The Word was there in the very beginning and everything was created through it. It’s the very same Word that is likened to a sword. A sword in its very nature is an offensive tool (as opposed to the shield which is defensive) and if used in the very nature it was intended for, victory is not only possible, it is inevitable. We sustain our deliverance by using the Word of GOD.
If I’m continuously failing in areas of my life I must re-examine my proximity to the Word of GOD. My breakthroughs are directly proportional to my proximity to the Word of GOD
