Sunday Message Summary, 9 April 2023
In Israel, Jubilee was celebrated every 50 years. It was called the year of emancipation, release, and restoration. Christ is God’s Jubilee (Luke 4:18-19 NKJV/TPT). The acceptable time for God’s mankind. This is the acceptable time of GOD. Jesus declared that the Jubilee of GOD is the present and daily (Luke 4:21). We therefore don’t have to wait 50 years because Jubilee is now and always in the present. It is the period of grace and the set time of favor. We have been burdened but now the set time for us to arise has come (Psalm 102:13 NKJV). Our set time has come. Christ has come to deliver us from slavery, so our burdens are falling today. When it is preached and we hear it, it goes into effect.
Jubilee is the time of forgiveness and rest (Hebrews 4:9 NKJV). We ought to cease from our works and depend on GOD. GOD is calling for rest from our burdens and cause of discomfort (Matthew 11:28 KJV). In Jubilee the anointing of GOD was released to set free those who are oppressed. This is what Passover is all about. There therefore must be a change and a shift when we celebrate Passover. We ought to celebrate the lifting of all forms of oppression and freedom from debts. We celebrate what we have already received. We celebrate the Passover season because Christ came to reconcile man to GOD. Jubilee is a season for a fresh start and a new beginning without oppression or slavery.
Jubilee began on the day of atonement when Jesus was our atoning sacrifice. In Jubilee, GOD is therefore calling for the forgiveness of our sins (Isaiah 1:18 NKJV). In the season of Jubilee, all debts are cancelled, and all prisoners are released. Sicknesses, poverty, death and lack are all examples of captivity from which we have been released. Jubilee is a time of perfect rest, where the blessing that makes rich and adds no sorrow with it appears (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV). Jesus is that blessing. This is a place where man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of GOD (Matthew 4:4 NKJV). Even restoration of lands happens in the season of Jubilee (Mark 10:29-30 NKJV).
In Israel, Jubilee was proclaimed by the blowing of a shofar throughout the land because Jubilee meant liberty to all people. Nobody was exempted. Jesus is the grace of GOD that brings salvation to all mankind (Titus 2:11 NKJV). The Cross covers every man, past, present, and future.
We have been burdened but now the set time for us to arise has come
