Did GOD Really Say?

Did GOD Really Say?

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” – Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Our brothers and sisters fought against him and they won. They could do this because of the death of the Lamb as a sacrifice. They continued to speak GOD’s true message. They were also ready to die as GOD’s servants. That is why they were able to win against Satan.” – Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭EASY‬‬

“In the Messiah, in Christ, GOD leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade.” – ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When the devil wants to deceive, he will come and question what GOD has said to us. He did this in the Garden of Eden. “The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the LORD GOD had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did GOD really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT. This is the same modus operandi that he uses today to get us to doubt what GOD has said to us, and when we doubt, he removes us from the will of GOD.

When GOD gives us a word for our lives, that word will ALWAYS be tested. “Until the time that his word [of prophecy regarding his brothers] came true, The word of the LORD tested and refined him.” Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭19‬ ‭AMP. This testing will deal with our character and prepare us for what GOD has promised. Most of the time, we think we are more ready than we actually are, and if we were to receive what GOD has promised immediately, we would destroy ourselves and squander the blessings of GOD. We have to be resolute, keep our faith and remind ourselves of what GOD has said in the midst of all the contrary voices and dreaded reports.

‬‬When GOD has called you out of a job and into business, and things get difficult in business, it always seems like the logical thing to dust off your CV and call in some favors. Unless GOD instructs you, what are you doing? “lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.” Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. We should not trade in our promise from GOD for TEMPORARY relief. It is when things get difficult that we dig in and grow closer to GOD.

“By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is GOD.” Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. It is only through faith and patience that we inherit the promises of GOD for our lives. This faith will be tested and will require patience. There will be many voices and doubts that will come, we must silence them and speak the Word of GOD. Victory is ours and GOD will do that which He has promised.

We have to be resolute, keep our faith and remind ourselves of what GOD has said in the midst of all the contrary voices and dreaded reports.
