“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
“and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” – Matthew 28:20b NKJV
I was recently watching some debate on spirituality, and there was something this lady said that really spoke to me, she said “As for me, nna, Jeso ontekane..” Simply translated, “Jesus is enough for me”. This had me doing some introspection and asking myself, is Jesus enough for me? If He were never to do anything for me ever again, would I still stand and say, “He is enough for me”? We all have a word and promises from GOD, and I speak for myself when I say, I believe with everything in me that He will do exactly what He has promised, even though the journey won’t look like what I had imagined it to look.
“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” II Timothy 3:12 NKJV. This life that GOD had set before us, as rewarding as it is, comes with persecutions. I believe this life is easier to navigate when our focus is Christ and not the promises, because if it’s the other way around, we will always gauge our relationship with Him based on how comfortable or uncomfortable our lives are. On this journey we will learn to be content, whether we have or we don’t have, knowing that GOD is aware and that He is still in control.
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is GOD’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT. Being thankful in all circumstances sets apart the children of GOD from everyone else. Why? It is GOD’s will for us who belong to Christ. Knowing that He is with us through it all makes it all the more worth it, because we know and are confident that He is working it out for our good and for a glorious end. He is with us! “For the GOD on the mountain, Is still GOD in the valley. When things go wrong, He’ll make them right. And the GOD of the good times, Is still GOD in the bad times. The GOD of the day, Is still GOD in the night”.
Knowing that He is with us through it all makes it all the more worth it, because we know and are confident that He is working it out for our good and for a glorious end
