Beware The Legal Doors

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in Him.” – ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of GOD was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” – ‭‭I John‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Our salvation, amongst many other things, is confirmed by our repentant lives and the continual transformation within us. When we receive Jesus Christ as our LORD and Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes upon us and begins to mold us into the image of Christ, and as such, our old nature and desires fall away. For some, the addictions, the bad habits, and sinful interests disappear immediately, while for others the change happens gradually. This process is imperative for us to be able to fulfil GOD’s plan and purposes for our lives here on earth. GOD knows that our old selves will never fulfil His mandate, as that former nature does not reflect Him nor does it desire what He desires, which is for His Kingdom to be established through us here in the earth.

Now life happens to every single one of us and even more so for believers because once you become a Christian, it’s like a bright spotlight with neon lights saying, “Believer over here” begins to go off and alert demons of your existence. That’s because we have now been enlisted in GOD’s army, and as His soldiers, we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. He gives us legal right to trample over serpents and scorpions, and to destroy the works of darkness. “Now Jesus called together the twelve [disciples] and gave them [the right to exercise] power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.” Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬.

With this great power comes great responsibility. We are required to remain pure and righteous at all times because habitual sin opens doors for demons to enter our lives and wreak havoc, and it also strips us of the power we have been given. There are trials and challenges that GOD allows us to pass through in order for our character to be built and our inner man to be strengthened, then there are situations that are governed by satan and have been legally sent our way to destroy us. Every time we commit sin, we are dabbling in the enemy’s kingdom, while knowing very well that we have no business being there in the first place. We have been saved from that kingdom through and by the blood of Jesus. So we cannot spend time in church burning satan’s kingdom but in our free time be canoodling with his demons, and then wonder why our lives seem to be on fire. Sin is like a cloak we put on to reflect and look like satan, hence we are unable to cast out devils and demons when we ought to. We are part of their kingdom and a kingdom divided cannot stand. “And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Acts‬ ‭19‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV.

As children of GOD, we are required to live righteous and holy lives, so when we are faced with demonic confrontations, we have the power and the right to destroy them because they no longer see us, but Christ. We have a serious mandate to fulfil here on earth. What GOD has called us into and for is greater than ourselves. We owe it to the souls that are still trapped in darkness to remain the light of the world and the salt of the earth in order to have the power and authority to save them from where they are. We cannot look like them or their captors and still believe we can make a difference in their lives. This is self-deception and that is ultimately what sin does. It turns us into deceivers and the deceived, and it strips us of whatever power GOD had entrusted us with in order to do what Jesus Christ came to do here on earth. ““You are like salt for the whole human race. But if salt loses its saltiness, there is no way to make it salty again. It has become worthless, so it is thrown out and people trample on it.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬ ‭GNT.

Every time we commit sin, we are dabbling in the enemy’s kingdom, while knowing very well that we have no business being there in the first place
