They See What We Don’t See

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with GOD and men.” – Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭52‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” – Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My friend and I have often spoken about this one baffling phenomenon that exists in certain people who, more often than not, are the ones closest to us, and of course, have a front row seat to our lives. That the very same successful and prosperous person or friend, who literally has everything that they need, can be jealous of little old you who’s trying to get by in life and are doing the best you can. You find the same person, who has multiple vehicles, being touched negatively that you bought a car, or that you are making some kind of progress in life. Any little sign of a blessing in your life, for reasons not understood, rattles and offends them to their core. Yet all the while, you know that the progress you’ve just made is minor compared to what they have already achieved. So what exactly are they mad about?

They are mad at the favor of GOD upon our lives, and they see beyond what we see. As children of GOD, we have a divine covering upon us that even the darkest of spirits can easily pick up. That is it is something that we might not be aware of but those who see, can pick it up instantly. Even though we might not have everything we want or are where we desire to be, those who are shaken are shaken by our potential more than anything else. Should our eyes open up to who we really are and what is beyond our current state, we will become unstoppable. They see GOD’s plans and His grace upon us, and that can madden them to a point where they begin to plot and plan our demise. Where someone’s heart will be so offended with what you carry, that they become malicious and sometimes downright cruel with how far they are willing to go behind your back.

The favor of GOD is not fair and we know very well it is unmerited. The Word of GOD tells us that, as Jesus grew in wisdom, the wisdom He could only get by drawing closer to and remaining in the Father, He increased in favor with GOD and men.
It is GOD who causes men to favor us. Where people say, “There’s something about you. What do you need and how can I help? Something drew me to you and I just have this urge to bless you.” Such occurrences do not happen for any other reason except that you have the smell and look of heaven on you. It’s the reason the divine ones bless you and the dark ones try to kill you.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. The world is a crazy place and people do not need a reason to hate us, as children of GOD we must wisen up to that fact. But even when they come for us, we are called to be gentle, to be kind, forgiving, and loving. To display the love of Christ over them. We cannot change the grace of GOD upon us as we continue to grow in our faith and in the Word. These are the divine benefits that come with being close to Christ. We begin to have what He had while He was here on earth. And unfortunately, we also attract the same persecutions He received. “If the world hates you [and it does], know that it has hated Me before it hated you.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬.

Regardless of how people may behave towards us, how unfairly and unjustly they can be, we must still arise and shine because our light has come. For indeed we see how deep darkness has covered both the earth and the people’s hearts, but the LORD is arising over us and His glory is being seen wherever we go. We should never dim our light in the hope that someone else’s light will shine brighter if we do so. If Jesus had done that, we would not be here today and salvation would not have even been a concept we can comprehend. How else can we do great and mighty things unless we allow GOD’s glory to work in and through us? The time is short and we cannot afford to waste it by playing small in order to accommodate and comfort the enemy that hates us anyway.

We should never dim our light in the hope that someone else’s light will shine brighter if we do so
