There is so much that can be achieved through unity. When GOD stopped humans from building the Tower of Babel, He changed their language so that they wouldn’t understand each other. The reason for this is that humanity decided to build a great city and all congregate there. They decided to build a gigantic tower as a symbol of their power, to make a name for themselves when GOD had given them a clear instruction for them to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth (Genesis 9:11). We all know that the enemy is a copy cat, the devil today wants to stop us from building GOD’s Kingdom by making us not to speak the same language, by causing division.
“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.” Matthew 13:24-26 NKJV. Wherever GOD is at work and trying to build, the enemy will always plant his agents who he can work through to bring division and strife. There’s a saying that goes, “The same sun that melts the wax is the same sun that hardens the clay”, Because both wheat and tares grow in the same environment, both will increase in good and evil respectively.
This tells me that, if as a wheat, I am not growing, I am in danger of being choked by the tares/weeds. This is not for us to start looking at each other with a bombastic side eye, but rather for us to look within, and at our conduct to see if we are the ones building with GOD or destroying by causing division and strife. Unlike the tares, we still have an opportunity to repent and change sides before the harvest/separation. “So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21 AMPC.
