“Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of GOD], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them.” – Matthew 18:19-20 AMP
We are living in times where we can officially say that these are the last days. Darkness is covering the earth and gross darkness the people, and a clear and outright war has been waged against the people of GOD and His church. If there was ever a time for believers to stand together in this battle, this would be it. Unfortunately, the battle is spiritual and taking place in the heavenlies but we see the physical manifestations clearly. So the choices we make concerning our lives need to be inspired and influenced by The Holy Spirit. As believers, the church of Jesus Christ is our covering and we need each other now more than ever, to stand together in prayer and support. Jesus is our Highest Priest and our ultimate covering and when we can come together in agreement pleading our case before Him, He assures us that His Father in Heaven will do anything we ask for in His will.
It’s unfortunate that we always find ourselves falling for the same trick of the devil when we face challenges. His first modus is to always weaken us by separating us from those who can stand with us in trying times. He knows that in numbers we are strengthened and that is why he causes strife, attacks, and doubt amongst the brethren. We can sit and admire the church of old and marvel at the miracles performed. But the Bible is clear as to what inspired the miracles. “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-2, 4 NKJV.
Our trials are going to need divine intervention and a miracle at every turn. Unity as a church and faith in Jesus Christ are the only things that will usher, empower, and enable us to conquer at every turn. This is not the time to argue and misuse the guidelines we have been given by GOD. If He says unity is what brings down answers to prayer then any other argument is a waste of time and a giant tick of defeat to the believer. Wisen up, Brethren. We are worth more together than divided. “Daily they met together in the temple courts and in one another’s homes to celebrate communion. They shared meals together with joyful hearts and tender humility. They were continually filled with praises to GOD, enjoying the favor of all the people. And the LORD kept adding to their number daily those who were coming to life.” Acts 2:46-47 TPT.
