“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,” – Ephesians 3:20 AMP
I once read an article in which they were discussing a study conducted on the measurability of emotions or energies. In this experiment, the scientists wanted to see the effect of certain human thoughts and what level of vibration they showed on their “scales”. These emotions went from sadness to depression to happiness, and any other thoughts one can think of and the emotions that followed it. Of all that they measured, the ONLY thought that vibrated highest was the positive thought. The study says that not only were positive thoughts measurable, but they also had a power and a force that created visible movement of things around them. This energy simply put in our Christian belief is called “FAITH.” Without which it is impossible to please GOD. (Hebrews 11:6).
What this study revealed to me is that, if our faith can create such powerful movements in the spirit and even create our desired outcome, imagine what happens, then, when GOD steps in and does the exceedingly and abundantly above what we are already thinking. Very few Christians have clearly stepped into the reality of how much power they have been given by virtue of having the Holy Spirit in them. “and how very great is His power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which He used when He raised Christ from death and seated Him at His right side in the heavenly world.” Ephesians 1:19-20 GNT.
Perhaps some of us are responsible for a few of the undesirable experiences we’ve gone through due to our negative beliefs and thoughts. This goes to highlight the importance of how we see a situation and what we choose to meditate on, good or bad. Our trust and belief in GOD and His plans for our lives need to be the anchor of our faith. Knowing that whatever happens around us can never affect what happens inside us to the extent that we also play a role in our own demise. “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 2:5 NKJV.
Christ is our ultimate role model in our faith walk. He engaged with GOD in prayer daily and sought His face in the early hours, in order to know how He would spend His time and how He would respond in any given situation He faced. How we move and how we reason should be based on the mindset of, and the teachings of Jesus Christ our LORD, who did mighty and wonderful exploits while on earth. We should never allow our minds to be limited by trials. Not when we have the most powerful force ever living in us. The Holy Spirit is the only one who enables us to do great and mighty things and to reach unthinkable heights in our lifetimes. But our minds need to make room for Him to operate unhindered. Whatever you think and believe, good or bad, the answer is always YES. Now that in itself is a sobering thought.
How we move and how we reason should be based on the mindset of, and the teachings of Jesus Christ our LORD, who did mighty and wonderful exploits while on earth
