Say “No” To Double-Mindedness

Say “No” To Double-Mindedness

”We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of GOD!“ – ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭TPT‬‬

”The mature children of GOD are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.“ – ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I believe that in most instances where the Bible refers to sons, it is referring to the mature children of GOD. More is expected from sons than that which is expected from children, and greater responsibility is given to sons. I also believe that the fulfilment of GOD’s promises is reserved for sons because sons know the responsibility that comes with the blessing and will not squander it. ”I will say it like this. Think about a son who will one day receive what belongs to his father. While he is still a child, he is like a slave in the family. That is true, even though all his father’s things really belong to him. He has to wait until the time that his father has decided. Until then, the son has to obey his teachers and the guides who take care of him.“ Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭EASY‬‬.

”Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do,“ I Chronicles‬ ‭12‬:‭32a‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Sons are not only entrusted with responsibility but with knowledge and insight that children are not able to handle. Sons are able to look beyond the natural and fix their gaze on Jesus as He leads us into the perfection of our faith. Once we know this, we will be fully convinced that at the right time, we will see the fulfillment of everything that GOD has promised. We cannot allow what we see in the physical to distract us from what GOD has already said or promised, if we do, it’s possible that we are double-minded.

”But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not expect to receive anything from the LORD.“ James‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭BSB‬‬. We miss out on GOD’s promises when we are double-minded and doubting if GOD will do what He has promised. We are operating from a place of unbelief and can receive nothing from GOD. We ought to be like Abraham, our example in the faith, who did not waver at the promise and through faith and patience inherited the promise of GOD.

We cannot allow what we see in the physical to distract us from what GOD has already said or promised, if we do, it’s possible that we are double-minded
