“After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” But Abram said, “Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.” Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”” – Genesis 15:1-5 NIV
Abram had to walk by faith into his promise (blessing). When he asked GOD for a child it was not for his own benefit, but for the benefit of the Kingdom of GOD. Abram understood that he needed an heir to not only carry but run with GOD’s vision and mandate, even after he was long gone. This passage of scripture shows that Abram knew the will of GOD concerning his life, GOD revealed it to him, as a result, it was easy for him to seek GOD because he understood GOD’s vision and mandate concerning the Kingdom of GOD and his role in the Kingdom of GOD. This means, Abram’s faith was driven by what was revealed to him (the will of GOD) in the area of land, numerous descendants, blessing for him and his descendants, and blessing through him for all nations. The moment the will of GOD is known (revealed), faith begins. Has GOD revealed His vision and mandate concerning His Kingdom to you and me? If indeed He has, do we know the role that we’re supposed to take position of in His Kingdom?
Abram was given a promise and he sought GOD concerning the promise. He didn’t seek for the promise but he sought GOD. Until we know the will of GOD for our lives in the area of wealth and riches, only then will we begin to seek Him and walk with Him (in faith) in that area. It is impossible to seek what we don’t believe in and to believe in what we don’t seek. If we don’t believe in the 2 Corinthians 8:9 TPT Jesus, “For you have experienced the extravagant grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, that although he was infinitely rich, he impoverished himself for our sake, so that by his poverty, we become rich beyond measure.” – then we must forget about GOD’s Kingdom Business and being partakers of His Kingdom Business.
We can’t shy away from the fact that unbelievers are more financially successful than Christians, simply because they never invest their mind, soul, and body in what they don’t believe in. At the end of the day, if indeed we have the Matthew 17:20 TPT faith, and it is the Hebrews 11:5-6 TPT faith that pleases GOD, what more when we grow into the “undying faith” of the widow in Luke 18:8 TPT? The undying faith that our LORD needs to find in His bride (you and I) when He returns.
The moment the will of GOD is known (revealed), faith begins. Has GOD revealed His vision and mandate concerning His Kingdom to you and me? If indeed He has, do we know the role that we’re supposed to take position of in His Kingdom?
