“Do two people walk hand in hand if they aren’t going to the same place? Does a lion roar in the forest if there’s no carcass to devour? Does a young lion growl with pleasure if he hasn’t caught his supper? Does a bird fall to the ground if it hasn’t been hit with a stone? Does a trap spring shut if nothing trips it? When the alarm goes off in the city, aren’t people alarmed? And when disaster strikes the city, doesn’t GOD stand behind it? The fact is, GOD, the Master, does nothing without first telling his prophets the whole story.” – Amos 3:3-7 MSG
Being in a true prophetic ministry is not easy. It’s almost as if one is constantly catching up to GOD and His way of doing things. It is impossible to stay (remain) in a true prophetic ministry without the help of the Holy Spirit, and it is impossible to understand how GOD works and moves in such a ministry without being completely filled with His Holy Spirit. Because how do we incubate that which we have no knowledge and understanding of? That is why we need to be filled at all times, to not only have knowledge and understanding of the season of the supernatural, but to also incubate what GOD is doing in this season. I guess it is in this season where you realize that our understanding of GOD and His ways is so small, that it is but a tiny fraction.
When GOD ushers us into a new season, He reveals it to His servant and then He declares it to us through His servant, it is most likely that we don’t hear the servant of GOD the first time, we only perceive a portion of what is being said at the time it is being said. It is GOD who unfolds His spoken Word to us, so in order to completely grasp what was said, we have to hear the message over and over again. The more we hear the message, the more GOD unfolds.
“But me, I’m not giving up. I’m sticking around to see what GOD will do. I’m waiting for GOD to make things right. I’m counting on GOD to listen to me.” – Micah 7:7 MSG, waiting on GOD is one thing, what we do whilst we wait on GOD is another. The only thing that matters to GOD in our wait is our heart posture. It is about waiting in complete hunger and thirst for Him, waiting in confidence, in earnest expectation, believing with every fiber of our being that our Father WILL show Himself (to us) and He WILL certainly do it again, exceeding what He did for us before. In the waiting, we will be inconvenienced and that is why there is no “you, me, or I”, because we cease to exist, our feelings, emotions, thoughts, and desires cease to exist. We become completely surrendered to GOD’s will, thoughts, and desires concerning this season. Waiting on GOD is serving GOD, so let’s do what waiters do, let’s serve GOD in our waiting. And as we wait, may our service to GOD be like a sweet-smelling aroma before Him.
We need to be filled at all times to not only have knowledge and understanding of the season of the supernatural but to also incubate what GOD is doing in this season
