“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 NIV
One thing about Jabez, he had a knowing that in GOD and with GOD there’s always a next level, there’s always a new dimension to reach. He had a desire to discover what GOD can do in him, for him, and more especially, through him, and as a result, running around the same circle made him frustrated and uncomfortable. He knew he was stagnant, he knew by the state of his life that it was not and could not be GOD’s good, pleasing and perfect will for him, he knew that “this cannot be it”, he refused to conform and that’s why he wanted more (GOD) and diligently sought for more (GOD).
We have been taken to the next level and a new dimension in the Spirit. Ours is to experience, explore and discover more of Him, His presence, His glory and His power. This is an open invitation to experience our Father more intimately. He doesn’t desire closeness, He desires oneness, and that is why Jesus didn’t say, “I am with the Father and the Father is with me” instead He said, “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me;” – John 14:11a NIV. He (Jesus) didn’t die for us to have an average, ordinary relationship with our Father. He set the perfect foundation of what it is and what it feels like to be in GOD and to have GOD be in you, but even in that there’s always more, always a next level and a new dimension that Jesus desires for us to reach in GOD through Him.
In John 14:12 NIV Jesus tells us, “Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Even though His works were great, His desire is for us to not only do great but to do much more greater than what He did in His walk in GOD (on earth). He wants to do greater works in us and through us, and in doing so, He doesn’t just want vessels, because we can be vessels but not be available. We can be vessels but not be emptied. We can be available but not empty. Are we available? Are we empty? Or are we available but not empty? “Search me [thoroughly], O GOD, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!” – Psalm 139:23 AMPC
“He (Jesus) didn’t die for us to have an average, ordinary relationship with our Father. He set the perfect foundation of what it is and what it feels like to be in GOD and to have GOD be in you, but even in that there’s always more, always a next level and a new dimension that Jesus desires for us to reach in GOD through Him.”
