“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.” – Ephesians 6:10-12 MSG
Imagine waking up and knowing that you have an opponent who you have to fight against every single day of your entire existence simply because they despise you so much so that they’ve dedicated all their time and energy to bring you down. They don’t sleep, never get weary, they’re ruthless and relentless, and they’re not going to give up on their quest to see you knocked out until your body turns blue-black. Only to find out that all of this is a result of what you carry (GOD’s assignment, destiny, purpose) and the One Whom you carry. You’re fought to not get to the finish line, you’re fought not to utter the following, “I have fought an excellent fight. I have finished my full course with all my might and I’ve kept my heart full of faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7 TPT.
To fully know and understand what it is that we carry we must pursue a living relationship with the One whom we carry because without this pursuit, when everything around us caves in and we find ourselves at our lowest of lows drowning in our own thoughts and frustration (cornered), we’ll be right where our adversary the devil wants us to be, and when in that state, without the Word of GOD, it is easy to throw in the towel, give up, walk away and worst case scenario would be us remaining in such a state.
GOD is not a GOD of quitters. Imagine if Job quit just because “it was too heavy” for him? We wouldn’t be reading about his steadfastness in GOD throughout his pain. GOD didn’t prevent him from the pain of loss, instead, GOD took him through it. A hundred years from now we’ll be gone, what will the next 4-5 generations read about us? What will they testify about us? The good fight of faith cannot be fought outside of faith. So we continue to fight the good fight, we fight it in faith, we fight it to the finish.
