“I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of GOD, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” – Galatians 2:20 AMP
We all know how much the devil hates GOD and everything that He has created, more especially, His children. “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?” – Psalms 8:4 NKJV. We are the only creation made in GOD’s image and likeness, and therefore we have His Spirit living in us. This new life we are living, we are living in complete faith in GOD, and faith is what ultimately defeats the devil. When we are solid and unshakeable in our belief, it becomes impossible for the enemy to discourage us and what the world calls delusional is what us believers call faith, and our ultimate and most powerful weapon.
“but thanks be to GOD, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our LORD Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57 AMP. By us surrendering to who we are created to be, we have no choice but to be victorious. We are daily being transformed into the image of our LORD Jesus Christ and therefore it is impossible not to walk in victory, as He has already conquered the enemy.
Our struggles are but a mere workout designed to strengthen us. As Christians, we are in a constant battle between light and darkness, but who we are in Christ is our unique selling point and what sets us apart from those who are under constant defeat. “For everyone who has been born of GOD overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” – 1 John 5:4 ESV
It is imperative that we ensure that we are truly born again of the Holy Spirit and not just fighting in the flesh. Things will always get harder when we decide to fight back physically because the enemy thrives on a challenge, and unfortunately, he has a bird’s eye view of what is happening in all realms. So we need to conquer him in the spirit by faith, to be victorious in the physical. Our faith, reliance, and complete surrender in GOD is what ultimately brings victory and defeats the devil hands down. A true child of GOD is not meant to stay in a continuous state of defeat simply because we have the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, living on the inside of us.
