Only Soldiers, Civilians, And Casualties

Only Soldiers, Civilians, And Casualties

“Elisha answered, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “LORD, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.” – 2 Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The dictionary definition of an army, is a large organised group of people who are armed and trained to fight in a war. Most armies are organized and controlled by governments or kingdoms, and this is the same in the spirit realm. So whether most people know it or not, they have been enlisted into an army. Whether that is in the kingdom of GOD or the kingdom of the enemy, is a decision every individual will eventually have to make. Of course, there are those who say they are not interested in choosing any side, but unfortunately in the realm of the spirit, fences do not exist and a choice will be made for you if you don’t make it yourself. There are only active soldiers, civilians, and casualties, and the state of one’s life will often show on which side of the wall you fall or stand on.

Now as Christians, we are automatically grafted into the army of heaven as soon as we receive Christ as our LORD and Saviour. It’s as though an alert goes out, that heaven has just gained a soul and whether we like it or not, we become walking targets of the enemy. The good thing though about being in the army of GOD, is that, this is one kingdom that has never lost a battle.
We might see attacks of the enemy coming against us from every direction, but we are not alone, and the LORD promises to never leave us nor forsake us. “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.” – Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Even though in the physical realm wars are fought on the ground and in the air space, in the spiritual realm the biggest battles happen in the mind. The one who captures the mind captures decisions and controls destinies. This is why it is so important that as children of GOD, we submit our minds and our thoughts to the control of the Holy Spirit at all times. What we believe and what we focus on will always determine how our lives turn out. We need to set our minds on things above and not on things of the flesh. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in GOD for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of GOD, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” – II Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The worst thing we can do as children of GOD is to underestimate the kingdom of darkness. We are up against a formidable army and in order for us to defeat it, we will need discipline, determination, and to move in absolute precision and unity as one body of Christ. We already know that Christianity is not easy but it is absolutely worth every battle scar and wound. As Believers, we need to stay the course and continue to fight the good fight, knowing that we have everything we need to endure the battle and to conquer. The enemy has already been defeated. It is up to us to walk in victory. The battle has already been won in the spirit, despite what it may look like in the physical.

The worst thing we can do as children of GOD is to underestimate the kingdom of darkness. We are up against a formidable army and in order for us to defeat it, we will need discipline, determination, and to move in absolute precision and unity as one body of Christ.
