The Power Of Christianity Is Embedded In GOD’s Grace

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“My passion is to be consumed with him and not cling to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law. My only “righteousness” will be his, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—the very righteousness that comes from GOD.” – Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I grew up in church pretty much all my life, I knew that Sundays were for church whether I felt like it or not. But I wasn’t affected much by it because services felt more like a program. I knew that I had to dress a certain way just to appease the constitution of the church, the church, and the Pastor. I was a faithful churchgoer, but I wasn’t saved. I knew of Jesus, but I did not know Him. It was so until my late teens when I encountered the Holy Spirit at a local Christian church. Everything was still a blur at the time, I knew something happened, and I knew I experienced something but I just couldn’t put my finger on it, it was unexplainable and I didn’t know anything about Christianity from a Spiritual perspective. Fast forward, I’m in KOSM, I’m taught about Spiritual matters (lightbulb moment), and I’m guided and led into having my own relationship with Jesus.

The point of this brief background is to emphasize the fact that Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the person of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. Religion tells us to fix ourselves and our ways first, and only then go to Jesus, yet Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. This invitation says we ought to come to Him just as we are, with all that we carry, and He will transform us into who He has called us to be. Because at the end of the day, there’s no grace in religion, there’s only justice. The power of Christianity is embedded in GOD’s grace, for we were saved by grace through faith [Ephesians 2:8].

The thing about grace is that, it is unjust, you get what you’ve never lifted a finger for, and you get what you don’t deserve. It is a gift, and there is nothing under the sun that any of us can do/have done to earn this gift. This gift is not for a certain group of people or individuals of a particular faith, it is open for all, the saved, unsaved, and the fallen. What we need to understand is, that every time we choose our righteousness over His in any given situation, we reject the gift, and rejecting the gift is rejecting the Giver.

This invitation says we ought to come to Him just as we are, with all that we carry and He will transform us into who He has called us to be.
