When we are born again, we are not born again for ourselves, if we were GOD would take us up to heaven at the time of our conversion. We are born again for a fight against the kingdom of darkness for the souls that are lost just as we once were. This means that as believers we have a huge responsibility and one that we will one day account for to the Lord. One of these responsibilities is to be a representative of Christ, not only in public but also in our private lives because our adversary does not play fair and will not miss the opportunity to expose us if our private lives and our public lives and confession are not in alignment.
“For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him.”(2 Timothy 2:4 TPT). We are enlisted in the army of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we have been given everything we need to win this war. Matter of fact, even the victory has been given to us, our part is to walk it out. We must put on the whole armor of God and stand! Stand our ground and not give the slanderous accuser a chance (Ephesians 4:27). We require focus and determination for us to fully satisfy the One who has enlisted us. We must prove our wisdom and understanding of God’s word by living an honorable life, doing good works and clothed with humility.
When we live out this life, we live in perpetual victory. When our private lives match up to our public confession and we are walking in truth, we are both walking in victory and pleasing to GOD. We have to live lives of personal and moral integrity for us to manifest the blessings and promises of God for our lives. “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”(Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT). It is time for us to shine as children of God and to live out our Christian lives and be the best representatives that we can be for Jesus.
