ALL Power And Authority

”Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.“ – ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

”Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.“ – Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As born-again believers, we’ve been delegated authority to rule and have dominion here on the earth. This authority is reserved for true born-again children of GOD, those who believe, ”And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;“ Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. The enemy takes advantage of 2 kinds of people, those who want the power without relationship (outside of covenant – being born again) and those who are ignorant of the power and authority that they’ve been delegated.

”A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the Name of the LORD Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the Name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.“ ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬.

When we try to operate in this power outside of the covenant, we will always be defeated and humiliated by the enemy. The enemy knows those that belong to Jesus and because he knows that he doesn’t stand a chance, he will always try and plant doubt and cause us to be ignorant of the power and authority entrusted to us. We will begin to see victory when we understand and walk in the power and authority entrusted to us.
