Fall In Love

Fall In Love

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:30 KJV

Love conquers all. A deep love for God, of heart, soul, mind and strength would overcome everything for us. Loving God heart, soul, mind and strength would mean loving His Word heart, soul, mind and strength. He says: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me” John 14:21. Falling in love with Jesus is falling in love with His Word. Jesus and His Word are inseparable. We cannot say we are in love with Jesus and not tremble at His Word. To be in love with Jesus is to be in love with the Word.

His Word guides us into Christlikeness. Christ’s nature is love. The Word of God is a guide in love. It teaches us to embrace people from all walks of life, to live in patience and understanding with others with the aim of winning those who have not encountered Jesus unto salvation. It speaks about consideration, compassion and gentleness. Jesus is in love with us, so His Word likewise endeavours to help us fall in love with each other, as every single one of us is precious in His sight. Because we are created in His image and likeness, we ought to love one another.

A person in love is captivated, they are mesmerized with their lover and can’t find wrong with them. They are ready to forgive and forget any offence, they think the best towards the person. Being in love is the best thing on earth, you hold no grudges and are not easily hurt, it takes time for a person in love to believe that another would want to hurt them, they believe for the best. That’s love, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. This is the love we should have towards Jesus and each other! Fall in love with Jesus, fall in love with His Word, fall in love with His people.
