I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13.
Through Christ we’ve been made more than equal to anything that might present itself as a challenge to us. It’s through Christ, His ability and sufficiency working in and for us, that we can do all things in agreement with His will for our lives. We’ve been made for winning. We’re winning machines in this world where the will of the Father has placed us. So let’s start and get winning. We have to believe this right in our spirit. We have to know that we know this. This is very important because unless we really can believe it, we might still flounder in uncertainty concerning the victory that is already ours as a gift from above. It’s through this knowledge that we’re also able to wage the warfare of faith when confronted, challenged and taking fire from the enemy.
When we exercise faith in the knowledge of this gift our mental and spiritual demeanor have to agree. True battles are won or lost in the unseen realm of the spirit. For example, we can’t believe one thing yet speak and act differently. That means there’s no agreement in our spirit, and defeat instead of victory is the next plausible outcome. We must believe and feel that we can do all things through Christ our Lord. We must speak, act and carry ourselves in this manner. We must present ourselves in this manner. We have to look, sound and act convincingly as winners, not losers. The Amplified Bible says it neatly, “I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.” Now that sounds convincing, not nebulous. You’re a winner not a loser and a success not a failure. It’s true, your duty is just to believe it.
