There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death – Proverbs 14:12.
There is a way that seems or appears to be right to a man, but it is wrong, not right. This has to do with choice. The things we choose and the way we choose them. We make a choice for life or destruction. Life is in the righteousness of God, and death or destruction is not lacking in sin. God doesn’t have different standards for different people. He deals with everybody equally and similarly. What is sin or wrong for one, is sin or wrong for all. That’s God’s righteousness. We are the righteousness of God in Christ, as long as we abide in Him and not take leave of Him. Righteousness of God is only in Jesus, that’s why the Father sent Him to become our righteousness- because God has only one standard of righteousness, Jesus. Outside of Jesus are sin, destruction and death. In Jesus are holiness, blessings and life evermore, (Romans 6:20-23). Sin has pain, sorrow and suffering. The effects of these things may not come in immediately. Meanwhile, all may seem great, enjoyable and fun. However, there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. When you choose Christ and to remain in Him always you’re choosing life, peace, blessings and all of God’s goodness. Choose life and choose to live.
